When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy our goods. We shall send you an e-mail to confirm we have received your order.
In the event of the goods not being of a high enough standard or no longer being available due to unforeseen circumstances at the time of dispatch we will inform you at the as soon as possible and can offer you a replacement or a refund.
Images on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Products may vary to the images shown due to differing states of growth and the season, also the size of plant. In winter plants could be in a dormant state.
Colours of our plants/foliage that appear on our website may vary from screen to screen and from plant to plant as natural variations occur.
Whilst we have made every effort to display and inform you as accurately as possible, all information provided is approximate and is provided in good faith.
This contract is covered by English law. Only when the goods are dispatched together with a dispatch note will it be a binding contract. Any items on the same order which have not been dispatched as yet do not form part of the first contract.
How to place an order
Place your order using our website by selecting your products and adding to your basket. Items placed in your basket can be removed at any time prior to checkout.
Delivery charges will be shown prior to check out, you will need to select an option. You will be required to pay for the goods in full at the time of ordering.
We use secure payment facilities for online purchases. You can pay for your order by Visa, Mastercard or Paypal.
Promotional prices only apply during the period stated.
Discount codes cannot be redeemed against postal charges. Only one discount code may be used per order.
All prices quoted on our website are in GB pounds and include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current rate where applicable. Please note that herbs are not subject to VAT, whilst other products will be.
Whilst we endeavour to ensure all pricing is accurate and correct very occasionally errors may occur. On processing your order if it is realised that the correct price is lower than that stated on the website we will adjust your payment accordingly and dispatch your order.
Kingfisher Herbs reserves the right to make changes to the website without prior notice, any changes will become effective from the time at which the changes are made to the website.
Once your order has been confirmed, if we are contacted prior to dispatch we will always try our best to accommodate these changes however they may not be possible or may incur additional charges or delays.
Your products will be dispatched to the shipping address as stated in your order confirmation email, it is your responsibility to ensure the shipping address for your order is correct, as well as your e-mail address and contact telephone number.
Once your order has been dispatched you will receive an e-mail notification.
All purchases must be paid in full before dispatch. Kingfisher Herbs will continue to own and reserve the right to repossess any goods sold from the website until payment for the goods has been received and cleared in full.
Delivery charges and procedure
Kingfisher Herbs aims to dispatch orders within 4 working days from receiving the order. We will send an email a day or two before your plant order is to be dispatched to update on the orders progress. We will send another email once the order has been dispatched. The plants are handpicked and packed from our nursery to complete your orders, we pack and dispatched daily, with plants usually delivered between 2 and 3 days.
Each potted plant will be individually wrapped with every care taken to ensure they arrive fresh and there is no damage during transportation. Orders are not sent out on a Thursday or Friday to reduce the risk of plants still being in transit over the weekend, although the plants usually travel very well and no harm should come to them if they do get delayed. Kingfisher Herbs may at our discretion sometimes chose to split an order at no additional charge to you the customer.
For plant orders we use a Hermes/collect plus 2/3 day service, or a faster service of 24 hrs from dispatch (the following day from order confirmation) using DHL.
Delivery is a flat rate of £5.99 for 2/3 day delivery, or £8.75 for the 24 hr delivery, all orders over £40 will qualify for free delivery. Deliveries outside the UK are currently unavailable
It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us of any change of delivery address immediately. Kingfisher Herbs accepts no liability for dispatch made to the wrong or an incomplete address. Please note that if you request delivery of your order to be left in a designated place (for example in the porch, by the green bin, over the hedge) if you are out when delivery is attempted and subsequently the order goes missing Kingfisher Herbs does not accept responsibility for non-receipt.
If delivery of an order is not achieved due to refusal at the delivery destination as nominated by the customer, when the order has been returned to us a charge will be deducted from your refund to cover any return costs incurred by us.
If there is no one to accept the order on delivery( if it needs signing for) then it is your responsibility to arrange re-delivery or collection with the delivery agent. We will not accept liability for plants which have deteriorated due to delayed delivery in these circumstances.
Please check your goods on delivery, any goods found to be missing or damaged should notified to ourselves within 24 hours of delivery. We may ask for images to be sent to us of all plants in relation to the issue. Images need to be of a high quality to enable us to clearly review any issue. In the event of non-delivery please contact us within 24 hours of the expected date of delivery (you will receive a dispatch notification at the time of dispatch), this will then enable Kingfisher Herbs to investigate why delivery has not been made.
We cannot accept any liability for loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions or for non-delivery outside of our terms.
Cancellation and returns
All orders can be cancelled up to the point of dispatch, midday on a Wednesday. We at Kingfisher Herbs aim to provide the highest quality plants and products we can to our customers and hope that you will be delighted with your order from us. However, we understand that occasionally you may change your mind, find that the delivered items may be faulty or be in an unacceptable condition or you may have been sent the wrong item (we are only human!)
Please examine your items as soon as you can after delivery as any issues relating to delivery need to be brought to Kingfisher Herbs attention within two working days of receipt of the goods. The procedure for returning an item depends on the type of item and the situation. For returns of plants the procedure can vary depending on the plant type, condition, quantity, size and season. For returns of accessories the return postage will be at a cost to yourself.
If you wish to return plants please always contact our customer sales team at email@example.com to discuss the best course of action. We may require images to be sent to us of all plants in relation to the issue. Images need to be of a high quality to enable us to clearly review any issue. Kingfisher Herbs are not able to process refunds for plants when images have been requested and not provided within 48 hours.
Depending on the situation we may not ask you to return the items and therefore may not be able to refund the postage if you post an item to us without contacting us beforehand. If items are returned to us using a ‘signed’ for or ‘special’ delivery service, we may not be able to refund the full cost, only that of a standard delivery service. The amount paid for the items initially will be the amount refunded.
We will refund all monies paid to us and will include any delivery cost you have paid if you are refunding due to quality, however if you are returning due to no longer requiring the item then we do not refund the original delivery costs and the return delivery cost will also be at your cost.

Privacy, security and cookies
We take the security of our customers and website very seriously. Kingfisher Herbs complies with the United Kingdom’s Data Protection Act 1998.
We will only collect information about you that you have specifically and knowingly provided, for example your contact details and card information. This information will be used to deliver your ordered products to you to process your payments and communicate with you about your orders.
It is possible to view our site without providing any personal details. However, without sharing your details you will not be able to place an order online. To review and edit your personal data, please access your Kingfisher Herb account.
Your payment details and credit card numbers will only be shared with Stripe or PayPal for the purpose of processing your orders. We use Stripe and PayPal payment service providers to ensure your details and transaction data is kept secure at all times.
When you place an order via our website, Kingfisher Herbs will not be share your credit and debit card information.
If you place your order by telephone your payment will be made through Paypal. Kingfisher Herbs does not store any credit or debit card information.
We will only send you our offers and product news by email if you have chosen to sign up. You can remove yourself from our mailing list at any time.
No data will ever be passed on by Kingfisher Herbs to any third party for their marketing or research purposes.
Cookies are tiny text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded on your computer when you visit certain webpages. The information the cookie contains is very limited but can be used when you are on our site to follow and help your journey through our site.
